About this opportunity:

A Director of Corporate Planning will lead and develop the Ross corporate planning team. Lead the team responsible for Ross sales planning, projections and hind sighting; markdown planning and execution; and work with the supply chain to provide them with updated forecasts to help determine supply chain receipt levels. Develop 5-year plan and budget.


  • Develop Monthly, Weekly and Daily sales plans. Lead team to reforecast sales on trend, weather information, and historical data. Hindsight actual sales to plan and forecast.
  • Develop seasonal markdown calendar. Manage markdown process for Ross and callout and recommend solutions to variance to plan and performance
  • Review historical data, calendar shifts and current trend information to create annual budget and 5-year plan.
  • Partner with the Supply Chain to provide long term and updated forecasts for needed receipt levels
  • Lead and develop direct reports; set expectations; identify strengths and areas of development; deliver timely feedback and develop action plans; provide support and guidance.

Who you are

  • You’ve had 7 years of previous work experience inclusive of corporate / business planning experience
  • You have a Bachelors/4-year college degree or the equivalent
  • You’ve had previous supervisory experience
  • You’ve had the ability to manage a team, functions and processes
  • You can effectively present and communicate to Senior Level Executives
  • You have advanced Excel knowledge
  • You have strong organizational skills
  • You have strong analytical and conceptual skills
  • You have demonstrated decision making skills
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • You have the ability to work in a high-pressure environment and to be flexible to the changing needs of the business
