Coordinator, Store Design

This position supports the Store Design Department with all project related administrative tasks. Interaction with other departments (Real Estate, Construction, Ops, LP, etc.) within the Company is required. Provide assistance to the Vice President, Store Design and Senior Vice President, Construction with special projects and requests as needed.

  • Responsible for the timely handling, recording, verification, acknowledgement and distribution of all Store Design project submittals in both electronic and hard formats. Makes decisions concerning suitability and sufficiency of submittal documents to ensure that they meet ROSS format and content standards. Acknowledge receipt of documents to submitting parties and requests supplemental documents, materials and formats where submittals have been found to be insufficient. Track regular submittal materials for timeliness and send out reminders whenever project submittals are overdue.
  • Maintains, updates and keeps current the Store Design Project Status Schedule and the specified areas of Site Link under Store Design responsibility, including understanding and obtaining the proper documentation to support all changes. Verifies, manages and updates both the Store Design Project Status Schedule and Store Design Site Link Data for all active and new stores including monitoring of new stores by opening window, project type, project assignment, and verification of information data accuracy. Publish and distribute Store Design Project Status Schedule on a weekly basis.
  • Responsible for maintaining current knowledge, recording, and tracking of Prototype requests as well as distributing the Prototype for all active and current new store projects. Acts to resolve any insufficiencies in content or format regarding distributed Prototypes.
  • Responsible to initiate all new store projects when they are approved by the Real Estate Committee including preparation and distribution of initiation letters to project landlords and their architects; setup of hard and electronic files and directories; and, consolidation of information from Active project folders.
  • Issue pre-submittal requests to landlords and their architects; verify sufficiency of Final AutoCAD Plan submittals and distribute Final AutoCAD Plans to Store Planning.
  • Has knowledge and understanding of critical Store Design, Construction and Property Development issues in order to respond to routine requests and to alert the Vice President, Store Design and Senior Vice President, Construction to critical events.

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive responsibility in retail design or related field.
  • Must have working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat and AutoCAD with emphasis in file handling, formatting, and the creation and processing of DWG and PDF images.
  • Must have outstanding communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills and be detailed oriented.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize tasks and follow through to ensure timely results.
  • Ability to handle matters professionally and confidentially and to appraise the Vice President and SVP of critical issues.
  • Must have strong analytical skills both mathematical and problem solving.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
