About this job:

 

The HR Coordinator will oversee the onboarding process for the Merchandising division for Ross Stores Inc. This responsibility includes but is not limited to: developing onboarding plans; scheduling all classroom trainings, HR touch bases, business expert trainings, comp shopping trips and out-of-division market appointments for newly hired and promoted associates; and tracking and evaluating completion of onboarding schedules. The ideal candidate will have a high-level of attention to detail and expertise in using Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities:

  • Onboarding Plans: Develop Onboarding Plans to support all newly hired and promoted associates in Merchandising, Planning, & Support functions - 60%
  • Training Calendar: Schedule classes with merchant trainers and business experts, send calendar invites, reserve training rooms, update the master training calendar - 25%
  • Master Roster: Create and update the monthly Master Roster to maintain accurate attendance information for monthly workshops - 10$
  • Other Projects: Participates in other projects as assigned by VP, Learning & Organizational Development - 5%

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Excel superuser; Microsoft Outlook, PPT, Word proficient
  • Training equipment experience (WebEx, Zoom, projector/technology, conference lines and polycom, video technology)
  • Strong technical problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong planning and organization skills
  • Demonstrates ability to organize a high volume of detail
  • Ability to independently set priorities and exercise independent judgement
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and complete tasks/projects in accordance with stated deadlines
  • Strong communication and follow up skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or minimum of two years related experience including compositional writing, computer operation, human resources, and public speaking preferred
  • Previous experience working in learning and development, and onboarding new hires a plus
