About this job:


The Onboarding Coordinator will prepare and process onboarding plans for the Merchandising division for Ross Stores Inc. This responsibility includes scheduling classroom trainings, business expert trainings, comp shopping trips and out-of-division market appointments for newly hired and promoted associates; and tracking completion of onboarding schedules. The ideal candidate will have a high-level of attention to detail and expertise in using Microsoft Excel.


  • Onboarding Plans: Develop Onboarding Plans to support all newly hired and promoted associates in Merchandising, Planning and Support functions
  • Training Calendar: Schedule classes with merchant trainers and business experts, send calendar invites, reserve training rooms, update the master training calendar
  • Master Roster: Create and update the monthly Master Roster to maintain accurate attendance information for monthly workshops

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Excel superuser; Microsoft Outlook, PPT, Word proficient
  • Training equipment experience (WebEx, Zoom, projector/technology, conference lines and polycom)
  • Demonstrates ability to organize a high volume of detail
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and complete tasks/projects in accordance with stated deadlines
  • Strong communication and follow up skills
  • Flexible and adaptable, open and responsive to feedback
  • Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Associate’s Degree is a plus
