About this Job:

The Merchant Initiatives Analyst’s core responsibility is providing support for the Initiatives team and working on problems of diverse scope where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluations of identifiable factors. This individual will be required to focus on continual improvements of business processes, exercising judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Communicate and interact with Merchants, Store Operations, Loss Prevention, Finance, DCs/Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams across the organization on a regular basis.



  • Assist in coordination and execution of successful merchant initiatives
  • Maintain and analyze established reporting cadence to measure merchant / store / operational initiatives (incl. production and delivery of established monthly reports)
  • Develop and provide analysis for time sensitive ad hoc requests
  • Provide support for troubleshooting merchant, store or operational callouts, including the SKU book
  • Document new or update merchant operation processes.
  • Write and maintain project sheets
  • Develop and document "Best Methods", new processes and standards
  • Support key functions of a project and interact and communicate effectively within and across the organization, in person, on calls and through emails

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2 years of retail or consumer product experience
  • Store/merchant knowledge is a plus
  • Must be strong team player, have entrepreneurial drive and be highly organized
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and conceptual ability
  • Must be able to act independently, multi task and manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Advanced Computer skills – MS office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
