The Productivity Engineering Analyst is responsible identifying opportunities, collecting and analyzing data in support of achieving the savings goals. These opportunities pertain to new hire and 'Managing Performance' performance trends, Supervisor Bonus statistics, labor management/staffing and accuracy qualifiers. The Engineering Analyst is also responsible for improving engineering's ability to quickly update and implement consistent standards across buildings. The Analyst focuses on continuously improving our means of capturing time, production and accuracy information via requirements gathering and partnering cross-functionally. The Analyst supports all buildings with production recording updates and modifications in support of changing operational processes and new standard development.

  • Defines production recording requirements in support of new standard development. Partners with operations, IT and engineering to ensure requirements are documented and encompass all necessary information with a goal of reducing performance variation as a result of changes in volume and seasonality.
  • Uses continuous improvement methodologies in identifying and defining opportunities of system integration in support of the engineered standards program. This includes the development and maintenance of a standards building applications, storing elemental times and descriptions. This also involves identifying opportunities with the production recording application and related interfaces with timekeeping, accuracy, warehouse management and labor productivity systems.
  • Executes custom queries and reports, along with analysis of the data in support of operations and engineering's pursuit of operational excellence. Partners cross functionally on key projects identifying performance opportunities, eliminating waste, improving UPH and balancing the process flow.
  • Analyzes and reports the actual savings achieved from new standards and standard maintenance projects as compared to the savings potential.
  • Maintains the day to day configuration of the production recording application, providing support to the Productivity Engineering team's standard maintenance process.
  • Supports the existing data collection applications along with other SQL and MS Access based applications used in conjunction with the standards program.
  • Creates and updates the technical documentation of production recording and other engineering systems.

  • Four or Two-year degree in Industrial, Systems or Computer Engineering/Science preferred or equivalent field or proven experience in engineering or systems.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in Distribution, Logistics or Manufacturing operations preferred.
  • Knowledge of SQL syntax or experience with MS Access queries, forms and reports.
  • Strong technical writing, mathematical and analytical capabilities.
  • Operations knowledge of distribution and related processes preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with, upper level management and cross-functional departments.
  • The ability to think in terms of process flow and identify operational component operations and interrelationships.
  • Experience in using PCs in a professional setting - developing and using standard applications such as spreadsheets, and word processors as typical tools to execute.
