Analyst, Allocation Receipt Planning

The Hotel Planning Analyst is responsible for planning hotel allocation goals for both the Ross and dd's Chains. These goals translate to receipts being sent directly to stores and encompass business strategies (e.g. Back to School, Easter, Holidays) that align with Distribution Center production goals. Hotel are items that are stored in the Distribution Center for release in a specified month. The Hotel Planning Analyst is also responsible for planning the execution of global strategies and developing weekly Allocation Forecasts for both Ross and dd's Chains. Other key activities include ad-hoc analytical projects to support DC and company initiatives, and offers recommendations for process enhancements to create improved planning practices. They will be a collaborative member with the Sr. Hotel Planning Analyst and the Hotel SKU Management team.


Planning and Goal Development:

• Forecast Hotel allocations to align with DC production goals; provide recommendations as needed

• Monitor progress of strategies; escalate goal achievement concerns and provide solutions to management

• Collaborate with Sr. Hotel Planning Analyst on the execution of high level global strategies

• Hindsight events and monthly strategies that includes documenting, assessing results, and propose recommendations for improvement


• Clearly communicates SKU Selection direction for global execution strategies to the Hotel SKU Management team

• Complete analytical reviews to measure results of strategies or troubleshoot high level callouts; clearly package/present findings

• Generate ad hoc reporting to support business needs

• Provide creative solutions to improve hotel planning approaches and develop efficiencies for existing processes

Operational Administration:

• Package and provide clear direction for the execution of all global strategies; ensuring they're accurately captured in reporting tools

• College degree preferred

• 2+ year's equivalent work experience preferred

• Solid mathematics foundation; strong analytical ability

• Outlook, Word & PowerPoint knowledge required (or equivalent application suite)

• Advanced Excel:

• Advanced Excel Function - Pivot Tables, Sum Product, If Error, H-lookup, arrays, etc.

• Complex Retail Math Formulas

• Retail software experience a plus (JDA or SAP/Oracle)


• Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.

• Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.

• Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.

• Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.

• This role requires regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support and/or feedback. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work.
