Allocation Planning Manager

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Plan Achievement Manager owns the execution of plan achievement processes. The Plan Achievement Manager is accountable for achieving the team's business objectives (e.g., achieving New/Comp/Non-Comp store inventory plan). This individual
independently translates strategic allocation goals from business partners into actions for the team. The Manager works with business partners to identify opportunities for improvement in existing/new processes and supports the development and implementation of those process improvements. This Manager is accountable for aligning the workload of direct reports. Supervises the work of the Analysts and holds them accountable for achieving assigned goals. Additionally, develops direct reports through providing coaching, feedback, and training.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Plan Achievement

• Lead and manage the accurate and timely execution of plan achievement and all related activities

• Facilitate the use of specific tools (sales curve and trend) to ensure appropriate/accurate analysis is being completed

• Facilitate the execution of ad-hoc business requests (reports/recaps, scorecards, special projects, etc.) through the team

• Analyze and understand impact of strategic goals on business objectives and communicate implications to management and/or team

• Work with business partners to identify opportunities for improvement in existing processes

• Support the development and implementation of process improvements

• Ongoing training of new/existing analysts on concepts, functionality, new/improved processes
Communication

• Drive communication with business partners (e.g., Assortment Management, Total Store Planning, Store Ops, etc.) to inform/recommend allocation strategies and results

• Ensure strategies and goals are clearly communicated to direct reports

• Provide business insights on allocation goals and strategies to senior business partners
People Management

• Provide coaching and feedback to direct reports on daily tasks

• Follow up on career development and coaching in a timely manner

• Conduct and manage the performance processes to identify key areas for associate development, ensuring fair and time-bound measurement and assessment of goals throughout focal year

• Partner with associates to develop an Individual Development Plan (IDP) that supports them in developing key areas and achieving career goals

• Develop associates to prepare for promotional opportunities

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required

• 5-7 years of experience in an allocations role

• 1-3 years' experience managing people

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites with advanced Excel skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:

Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
