Analyst, Associate

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Ross Allocation is a fast-paced, dynamic work environment, where you can learn and grow while contributing to the success of the business. The Allocation Department is responsible for ensuring that all 1300 Ross & dd's stores reflect the "treasure hunt" philosophy that they are known for. Associate Assortment Analysts are responsible for a specific merchandise segment for all stores.

The Associate Analyst is responsible for conducting basic analysis as directed to support diverse business needs. In addition, the Associate Assortment Analyst is responsible for the execution of essential operations using allocation system applications.


The Associate Analyst will interpret various reports to identify opportunities that support allocation objectives.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Assortment Strategy

  • Execute key merchant strategies as directed by Assortment Management Team
    • Seasonal Strategies
    • New Store Builds
    • Business/Holiday Events
    • Specialized allocations
  • Analyze and interpret reporting to validate plan achievement & assortment execution
  • Participate in field visits to assess allocation results and identify assortment opportunities
  • Compile and format basic recaps to measure assortment strategies

Inventory Plan Analysis

  • Identify issues impacting inventory plan achievement and partner with manager for resolution
  • Ensure New Stores achieve opening inventory targets
  • Research SKU/Product level store callouts as directed
Essential Operations
  • Ensure allocation department tools are current & accurate
  • Prepare standard reports to support team business needs
  • Validate automated allocation approaches
  • Support allocation execution through accurate and timely use of system applications

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • 1 year retail experience
  • College Degree preferred
  • Foundational knowledge of Micro Soft Suite
    • Basic Excel

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:


No unusual physical requirements. Requires no heavy lifting, and nearly all work is performed in a comfortable indoor facility.
